Abstract

Flintshire County Council will be seeking to procure the services of a provider or providers for the purpose of delivering Carers Needs Assessments and subsequent support services for unpaid carers in Flintshire. Flintshire County Council aims to provide support to unpaid carers living in Flintshire so that they can prioritise their own health and well-being needs, achieve what matters to them and maintain their caring role, should they choose, in a safe and supported way. The services required will support both adult carers and young carers (aged 5-25) in a range of creative and innovative ways and in a manner that promotes independence, maximises outcomes and is delivered in accordance with relevant legislation, such as the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2014 and the Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) Act 2015. There is likely to be a number of lots to consider. Applications would be welcomed for single and multiple lots, from individual organisations and consortia. It is anticipated that the contract start date would be 1st April 2024 for a period of 5 years. Please be aware that TUPE may apply to some of these lots. Further information will be available during the full tender process. Flintshire County Council will be seeking to procure the services of a provider or providers for the purpose of delivering Carers Needs Assessments and subsequent support services for unpaid carers in Flintshire.

The service will be responsive to the needs of local young carers, promote and develop sustainable and natural support networks outside of the service with the aim of creating independent, happy and healthy young carers.
