Title
Construction phase of the former HSBC bank building in Holyhead
|

Description of the goods or services required
Refurbishment works at a former bank building to create 3 distinctly separate commercial units. Ground floor space to be reconfigured to create a restaurant on one side and a tap room for a local craft beer company on the other. Floors 1 and 2 will be 7 en-suite overnight accommodation rooms. There will be an extension to be created for the restaurant kitchen at the rear of the property. The property is within a Planning Conservation area but the building is not listed. The project duration is expected to be until August 2025.

Additional Information
This contract is part of a wider Holyhead Regeneration Programme funded by the UK Government's Levelling Up Fund. During the duration of this contract there may be other construction work being undertaken in adjacent properties until the middle of 2025.

Under the terms of this contract the successful supplier(s) will be required to deliver Community Benefits in support of the authority’s economic and social objectives. Accordingly, contract performance conditions may relate in particular to social and environmental considerations. The Community Benefits included in this contract are:
The client would expect the successful contractor to provide work experience opportunities for local individuals. The client will work with the contractor to agree on how to deliver these placements on a practical level.
The buyer considers that this contract is suitable for consortia bidding.
