II.2.4) Description of the procurement
This contract is for the provision of LAN Extension Services via Leased Lines including any required infrastructure changes required to accommodate an as and when required increase of line speed to sites.
This contract will be initially for three years running from 01/06/22 until 31/05/2025. There will be two possible extensions of 12 months meaning the total contract length will potentially be 5 years in total or 5 years with no extension. It is required that the successful tenderer will begin any pre-work to ensure sites due to switch on/from 01/06/2022 are prepared, ensuring a smooth transfer of service with no loss of connectivity.

The authority will incorporate a minimum 10 calendar day standstill period at the point that information on the award of the contract is communicated to tenderers. If an appeal regarding the award of contract has not been successfully resolved then the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 provide for aggrieved parties who have been harmed or are at risk of harm by breach of the rules to take action in the High Court. Any such action must be brought promptly (generally within 3 months).
