Minimum standards and qualification required
The Service Provider shall have full third-party accreditation such as BAFE registration or other equally approved third party certification and maintain this for the duration of the contract. Certification will be provided by the Service Provider to ClwydAlyn annually.All electrical apparatus and work in connection therewith shall comply with the current edition of the IEE Regulations for Electrical Installations produced by the Institution of Engineering and Technology.All works and materials shall also comply with the requirements of the following: -
i. Local Authority Regulations, Recommendations, Requirements and Bylaws;
ii. Water, Gas, Electricity, Fire Officer, British Telecom and all Public Authority and Statutory Regulations and Recommendations.
iii. Health and Safety at Work Act, including all current regulations and statutory instructions issued by the Health and Safety Executive:
iv. All relevant components of the British Standards BS 5839 (Fire Detection and Fire Alarms), BS 5266 (Emergency Lighting), BS 5306 (Fire Extinguishers) and BS 9251 (Domestic Sprinkler Systems).
2.36 Safety Standards and Requirements
2.37 The Service Provider shall, without prejudice to any other statutory requirements, comply with the provisions of:
Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005
Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 (and any regulations made under the Act)
Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 2002
Electricity at works Regulations 1989 (as amended)
First Aid Regulations 1981
Service providers shall also observe:
