Rhondda Cynon Taf are seeking to appoint a range of childcare providers who are Care Inspectorate Wales registered to deliver Flying Start Childcare for all eligible children aged 2 to 3. This process will operate as an 'Approved List' that will quality assure providers and their proposed childcare settings. In order to obtain a position on the 'Approved List' providers will need to pass a questionnaire. This tender process will remain open and available for its entirety, allowing providers and/or their settings to express their interest and apply to join at any time. Settings must be approved before any placements can be made

II.2.4) Description of the procurement
Rhondda Cynon Taf are seeking to appoint a range of childcare providers who are Care Inspectorate Wales registered to deliver Flying Start Childcare for all eligible children aged 2 to 3. The services to be procured under this ITT are applicable to regulations 74-77 under chapter 3 for Social and other specific services known as “Light Touch Regime”. Therefore, the Council is not obliged to comply with the full extent of the Regulations, only those parts which apply to the Light Touch Regime. This process will operate as an 'Approved List' that will quality assure providers and their proposed childcare settings. In order to obtain a position on the 'Approved List' providers will need to pass a questionnaire. This tender process will remain open and available for its entirety, allowing providers and/or their settings to express their interest and apply to join at any time. Settings must be approved before any placements can be made

Section VI: Complementary information
VI.3) Additional information
The purpose of this Approved List is to allow the Council to assemble and maintain an approved list of Providers and their Settings that are capable and have been quality assured to provide Flying Start Childcare Provision as detailed within the Specification. To do this, Tenderers will be asked to complete a qualification questionnaire. Only Tenderers and their proposed Settings that meet the requirements of the questionnaire will be admitted to the Approved List. The Approved List will remain open throughout its duration. This means that Tenderers may request admission onto the Approved List at any time
The Approved List will allow a greater flexibility of choice for eligible children and their families. It will also enable Providers to add new Settings as and when they registered and meet the required quality standards.
There are no limits on the number of Providers to be awarded onto the Approved List and Tenderers may propose any number of settings
