New works/services, constituting a repetition of existing works/services and ordered in accordance with the strict conditions stated in the Directive
Explanation
The Council awarded a contract for design services in 2010 after a two-stage competitive tendering process consistent with procurement regulations. The design services were in relation to the delivery of a works contract, the main contractor of the works contract became insolvent in 2020, impacting on the delivery of the overall project. The Council is working to bring this project to completion, and requires additional design services which have the capacity to consist of some repetition of services entrusted to the design team, the service is in conformity with the basic project on which the original contract was based.
