Abstract

Community Health Services are used by people in Tower Hamlets more than 300 000 times every year. They range from speech and language therapists who visit children at home, to a stroke rehabilitation team that helps people get well after they have left hospital, to specialist diabetes nurses and more. They are crucial to a successful NHS. If more people can get well and stay healthy without having to visit a doctor or go to hospital, people will be happier and healthier and it will reduce some of the pressure on our health system.
