Abstract

Swansea University Medical School (SUMS) is seeking to renew and develop their current complement of equipment and expand the capabilities of all user groups. Procurement of additional instruments will support research, teaching, and collaborative projects with NHS, pharma, industry (large and small) and other collaborating institutions on the development of novel technologies for healthcare, basic and translational science, and wider applications. This procurement process is to purchase a digital droplet PCR (ddPCR) machine or equivalent i.e. digital PCR (dPCR), which will need to have the capability to amplify a range of DNA and cDNA fragments at high sensitivity.
