Abstract

The selected facilitators will present a simulated incident of escalating crisis and incident management. They will use a compressed timeline requiring performance of tasks, notional decision making and seeking specialist support where necessary.Tabletop exercises are recognised as one of the best ways to exercise teams and test plans. They are delivered in a safe learning environment where the Team make decisions and formulate strategy.For the exercise to be most effective, facilitators will require knowledge and understanding of the UOB Departmental interoperability and wider Higher Education environment. The details of the scenario are to be determined with the selected facilitator, but the primary aim is to test the UOB plan as stated.Aim: To test response, resilience and interoperability of the Strategic Emergency Response Team (SERT) using facilitators to enable continuous development and improve overall readiness of the team.
