Medway Council wishes to set up an Asbestos Surveying Works contract and appoint a competent and accredited contractor to deliver its asbestos surveying function initially up until September 2028. Extensions options are available subject to performance and budgets as detailed in the contract term section above.
The contract shall comprise:
• the completion of asbestos management surveys (approx. 100 per year).
• the completion of asbestos refurbishment and demolition surveys (approx. 125 per year).
• the provision of re-assurance air tests (approx. 10 per year).
• ad hoc post inspection of asbestos removal/remedial works by licensed contractors.
• the completion of asbestos management re-inspection surveys (approx. 50 per year)
• the completion of one off bulk sampling to possible asbestos materials (approx. 25 per year).
