Eligible contracting authorities may call upon house builders and associated contractors for the provision of design and build projects; or construction only where the design is provided; and/or associated works and related activities independently, to maintain, repair or facilitate and manage construction.

Emergency homebuilding means providing secure, well designed accommodation for displaced residents, such as individuals and families with dependency needs. This may entail detailed safety requirements, as well as awareness and management of the local community and environment.

Lots will be divided according to the value of the projects. This is to engage with the best suppliers for each size of development, utilising SMEs where this provides the best quality and value for money. Any organisation, or consortium, can apply to be a supplier if they can deliver all of the required works.
