Abstract

Pen-y-Graig Woodland Centre is seeking to appoint a Framework of suitably qualified and experienced service providers, as detailed in the specification, to deliver an individually designed programme of woodland skills, arts/creative training and psychotherapy support throughout the duration of the Framework (until 31st December 2021). This pilot programme is funded through the Welsh Government’s Co-operation and Supply Chain Development Scheme – Rural development Programme 2014-2020, which is funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development and the Welsh Government. The programme will support a new health care supply chain based in the Gwent region of Wales in an ancient woodland in Penallt, Monmouthshire. The pilot will be focussed on the rehabilitation of front-line emergency service staff, NHS staff and veterans recovering from acute mental health conditions such as post-traumatic stress. Lot 18 is for EMDR therapy and includes supporting participants by providing EMDR techniques to explore their historical trauma but anchored in the present so the trauma no longer overwhelms them but is seen in the past and detached from them now.
