Cardiff and Vale Health Board (CAVUHB) are looking for a proxy server solution. A proxy server is a system that provides a gateway between the CAVUHB and the internet and controls all internet traffic.

The purpose of this gateway is to:
a) Improve security
b) Secure employees’ internet activity
c) Balance internet traffic to prevent crashes
d) Control the websites employees and staff access in the office
e) Save bandwidth by caching files or compressing incoming traffic
The proxy server is an essential layer of security which protects the Health Board against common cyber security threats such as malware as it prevents Health Board staff from accessing banned/malicious sites. Without a proxy server, network traffic is open to significant Cyber Security risks.
