BEIS is looking for a supplier to undertake the provision and management of the UK component of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change’s (IPCC) Data Distribution Centre (DDC) which provides access to modelling and scenario data used by the IPCC, and archives data underpinning key figures of IPCC reports, the IPCC DDC is housed at http://www.ipcc-data.org/
The contractor will be responsible for managing the UK aspects of the existing DDC site, which provides the gateway to the data for all of the DDC and captures and archives observational datasets for the IPCC.
The DDC is overseen by the IPCC’s Task Group for Data (TG-Data), which receives its mandate from, and reports to, the IPCC Bureau.
