Abstract

The Brecon Beacons National Park Authority (The Authority), as part of the of the Brecon Beacons Local Nature Partnership (LNP), is seeking to deliver an ambitious project aimed at providing a multi-purpose building at The National Trust's Ty Mawr Farm location in Libanus, Powys. This will allow the members and partners of the LNP to deliver a wide range of educational and community activities. This is part of a wider nature recovery and community engagement project at the site funded through the Welsh Government’s Local Places for Nature programme. This project is led by BBNPA who will be the Commissioning Partner for the work with responsibility for contracts and payments. The National Trust are the Contracting Partner and will be the main point of contract for the successful Contractor and will also be responsible for ensuring the work is carried out in accordance with the Contract specification Please note that award of this tender will be contingent on Planning Permission being granted for the educational facility. A link to the Planning Application and further details in provided in the document attached.

Total quantity or scope of tender

We are looking to procure a modular building, which will provide an inside space for volunteers and allow the LNP to provide education and training programmes.

The building will need to be constructed, the work signed off by the Contract Manager and all invoices submitted by the end of February 2025.

The LNP is looking for a Contractor who has the capability, experience and infrastructure to undertake this work within the required time period. Suitable contractors will have a demonstrable track record and previous experience of successfully delivering similar work.
