Llanferres Community Council in Denbighshire is seeking to appoint a suitably experienced and qualified Chartered Landscape Architect to act as Project Manager to oversee construction works for external works improvements to Maes Ysgawen park, Llanferres. The works have been designed to RIBA Tender Stage 4 and all technical drawings and schedules have been prepared in readiness to go Out to Tender.
The scope of the work will include:
Planning:
Respond to planning and pre construction conditions.
Technical Design (Tender Actions to be included in Construction Costs)
Prepare tender package to meet Councils procurement requirements. Including preliminary requirements, Instructions to Tenderers. Tenders to be issued by client, unless otherwise agreed.
Answer tender queries, during tender period. Assess returned tenders and prepare a tender report for the client.
Contract Preparation
Prepare agendas for, and minute the pre-contract meeting. Assist Community Council with contract preparation.

Review Construction H&S & Management Plan
Construction
Administer the contract during construction including reviewing the Contractor’s programme; chairing progress meetings; issuing information and instructions; checking and certifying progress; checking and certifying accounts for payments due; providing financial reports to the Client; identifying any variation in the cost of the works and any adjustment to the completion date. Assume10 week construction period.
Visit the site at intervals appropriate to the Contractor's programmed activities and/or to an inspection schedule agreed with the Client to inspect the progress and quality of the works and compliance with the construction information. Provide inspection reports to the Client. (Min 6 No site visits and follow on reporting).
Allow for production of all final certificates, signing of defects etc.

Allow for visiting the site during the defects period (12 months following completion) and actioning any further requirements of the contractor. (Min 4 No site visits).

Act as Principal Designer under CDM regulations. Prepare the pre-construction information, check contractors Pre Construction Plan, monitor changes
