Abstract

What is required / ‘The Requirements’ We are seeking a suitably skilled and experienced supplier to design and develop a pilot programme for the ethnic minority social care workforce in Wales. The purpose of the programme is to empower ethnic minority employees in the social care sector by equipping them with essential skills and resources to advance their careers, thereby promoting diversity and inclusivity in leadership roles. The target audience for the programmes participants are ethnic minority social care professionals, such as domiciliary and residential/care home workers, currently employed within the sector who demonstrate potential and interest in career progression. Please note this does not include qualified social workers or social care students. To successfully develop the programme the supplier will work collaboratively with Social Care Wales to: 1 Recruit and run a continuous working group; 2. Design and create programme components; 3. Design and create programme guidance packs; 4. Design a pilot programme; 5. Design a recruitment process for eligible participants and employers to take part in the programme. Bilingual Requirements The supplier must ensure all final designs are fully accessible and coherent in both English and Welsh. This includes accurate translation of all text (please refer to section 5.1 for mandatory requirements) while maintaining meaning, context, and cultural relevance of the original material. Only the final approved drafts must be translated and made available bilingually. Budget

There is a budget of £35,000 (inclusive of any applicable VAT) agreed for this tender.

The Supplier will provide full financial breakdown of the costs associated with the project for consideration through the evaluation process.

Prices must be quoted in pounds sterling and clearly state if VAT will or will not be charged.

Length of contract

The contract will run from 2 January until 30 April 2025.
