Safe & Considerate Driving (SCD)
The course is a mixture of theory and on road practical driving coaching. It aims to allow drivers to review their driving skills and behaviour and introduces practical solutions to help them to avoid being involved in future collisions. It includes group discussions in the theory section and focussed individual coaching during the practical session.
Please note, this is a mixed course, and sits in this Category for the Theory element only. Category 2 covers the Practical element of this course.
The practical driving section requires the trainer to take out two clients at a time to deliver coaching in the trainer’s own modern (no more than 7 years old) vehicle. Both manual and automatic vehicles are used for the courses, but you will be expected to provide only one type.
Course Duration: 7 Hours

What’s Driving Us (WDU)
This course is designed to recognise and influence driver behaviour. It helps drivers identify their own driver behaviour and that of others. It explores how behaviour can influence other road users. Through presentations and discussion, clients gain insight into the decisions people make when driving on the road and encourages them to think about the decisions that they themselves make.
Course Duration: 3 Hours
Currently courses run 7 days a week, at a variety of times and at the following locations:

NRRAC course
The course covers the following elements:
•Increase awareness of current rider behaviour.
• Provide a method to create positive behaviours to motorcycling
•Prevent further unnecessary deaths and injury to motorcyclists on our roads.

• cancellation of a Booking Date by the Provider; and
• insufficient time to run a further competition in accordance with the timescales set out at paragraph 6.1 of the Operations Manual and/or insufficient availability on the Booking Portal.
Where necessary the Authority may reduce the 7 calendar day time limit to meet the Short Notice Requirement provided DPS Providers are notified of the revised timescale.
Short Notice Requirements will be allocated to Eligible DPS Providers on a first come first served basis.
DPS Providers will be required to meet the applicable Essential Requirements for the Short Notice Requirement. For example, purposes only, if the Short Notice Requirement is for a Course that falls within Category 1, the DPS Providers must meet the Essential Requirements for Category 1.
