II.1.4) Short description
East Sussex County Council are looking to tender for the provision of The East Sussex Advocacy Service.
This service will support the delivery of Statutory and Non-Statutory Advocacy requirements, namely Independent Mental Health Advocacy (IMHA) and Care Act Advocacy to Adults and Children, and Independent Advocacy for Adults. Provision of this service will ensure the Council’s statutory requirements are met.
Key relevant legislation that applies to the delivery of this service are the Mental Health Act 1983, the Care Act 2014 (Adults) and Care Act 2014 (Children & Young People) All advocacy requirements will be addressed through a single contract with a single point of access which will cover the following areas:
Care Act Advocacy (Children & Young People or CYP)
Care Act Advocacy (Adults)
Independent Mental Health Advocacy (Adults)
Independent Mental Health Advocacy (CYP)
Non-Statutory Independent Advocacy (Adults)
The service will be commissioned by ESCC in association with NHS Sussex Integrated Care Board (ICB).
