Abstract

Conwy County Borough Council is are seeking a company to replace or install new pedestrian fingerpost signage across Conwy county. The company will review the recent audit documents to update pedestrian fingerpost signage across Conwy County, focusing on four of our priority towns: Llandudno, Llanrwst, Colwyn Bay and Abergele. Description of the goods or services required

Conwy County Borough Council is are seeking a company to replace or install new pedestrian fingerpost signage across Conwy county.

The company will review the recent audit documents to update pedestrian fingerpost signage across Conwy County, focusing on four of our priority towns: Llandudno, Llanrwst, Colwyn Bay and Abergele. They will be required to work closely with the Project Team to confirm locations, directions, design specification and schedule of works.

Total quantity or scope of tender

The successful bidder will create a detailed specification of works that will include the removal, supply and installation of signage in line with the audit proposal reports and requirements of the Project Team. The style and / or colour of the fingerposts in each of the four towns varies slightly from town to town, and the successful company will liaise with the Tourism Project Lead Officer to confirm the design of the new fingerposts for each town. Abergele does not currently have a fingerpost signage scheme, so a new design will need to be created to complement existing provision across the county.

Question received: Using the Octopus system based on the quantities detailed in the tender, we are already over the £86,000 budget. Please could you review the budget or quantities specified in the tender is correct so that we can better understand where the £86,000 has come from?
Answer: The £86,000 value of the tender is determined by the funding available under the UK Government Shared Prosperity Fund, Enhancing Llandudno Promenade Project. The project has been separated into priority posts (4.5) and desirable posts (4.6).
