II.2.4) Description of the procurement
Grŵp Cynefin are currently seeking the provision of Catering Services at all five of our extra care scheme sites to ensure that all our residents receive a daily high quality lunch and the following daily choices must be offered:
- A choice of two hot main dishes with accompanying and appropriate fresh vegetables or salad and potatoes or rice or pasta.
- Dishes catering for all dietary requirements with accompanying and appropriate fresh vegetables or salad and potatoes or rice or pasta.
- A hot or cold dessert or cheese & biscuits or fresh fruit.
In addition, the Service Provider will be expected to provide ad hoc catering services for special events and hospitality for Grŵp Cynefin.
The current number of lunches required at each scheme is estimated as follows:
- Awel y Coleg = 33
- Penucheldre = 33
- Hafod y Gest = 48
- Llys Awelon = 21
- Awel y Dyffryn = Unknown
The estimated number of lunches per day will vary from time to time depending on the number of tenants per apartment. Awel y Dyffryn is a new scheme comprising of 66 apartments and we are currently unaware of how many tenants will be residing at the scheme. The Penucheldre scheme differs from the other schemes in that a waiter service is operated.
Grŵp Cynefin are currently at the very early stages of extending Llys Awelon with the proposed extension adding a further 35 apartments to the current scheme. If the proposed extension does become occupied within the lifetime of this contract, Grŵp Cynefin will seek to add the provision of catering services for the additional tenants to this contract.
