II.2.4) Description of the procurement
This contract opportunity is for the supply of Weather Forecasting Services and related services required to manage and operate the road network in Wales during adverse weather conditions.
This procurement exercise is being conducted by the Welsh Government's Commercial Delivery Division (WGCD). The WGCD is acting on behalf of the Welsh public sector who wish to establish a collaborative framework agreement for Adverse Weather Forecasting Services.
This framework will be replacing the current NPS All Wales Adverse Weather Forecasting Framework— NPS-CFM-0086-18 when it expires in September 2022.
It is anticipated that the key customers for this agreement will be the Welsh Government and its trunk road agencies; and the majority of Welsh local authorities but the agreement could be used by any eligible Welsh public sector or third-party organisations.
