The intention is for one company to supply the spring bulbs that the Council requires throughout the whole of the city. In total this amounts to 114 different displays in 29 parks. This year’s requirement will involve supplying over 115,000 bulbs. Although the quantities will remain similar throughout the contract the displays change significantly every year. Cardiff is one of the greenest cities in the UK and its parks are loved by local residents and attract significant amount of visitors from outside the city. The bulbs supplied must be of the highest quality to ensure that the displays are of a standard fitting of a capital city and to ensure that the city retains the Green Flag awards it holds.
