Tender for the appointment of a Principal Contractor for Refurbishment Works and Mechanical and Engineering Works at Theatr Brycheiniog, Brecon, Powys LD3 7EW. Works to the Auditorium including essential external repair works, upgrade of front of house toilets, replacement of windows and doors with more thermally efficient, upgrade of emergency lighting/general lighting/Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning systems and replacement lifts.

Works to include Replacement of Mechanical and Electrical Services, Replacement of 1no passenger lift and 1no goods lift, Replacement of external windows and doors, Refurbishment of bathrooms, washrooms and back of house corridors, Irradicating damp ingress, Removal and making good of sundry external fixtures, Environmental enhancements, Limited fabric repairs.

3 Conditions for Participation

3.1

Minimum standards and qualification required

The minimum requirements of the tender are as follows:

- Constructionline Level 2 Silver registration with work categories relevant to the subject matter of the contract.

- Safety Schemes in Procurement accredited or fully compliant with an equivalent scheme.

- Demonstrable experience of delivering contracts of a similar nature.

- Financial Assessment - Provide copies of full audited accounts, including profit and loss accounts and balance sheet, for the most recently completed financial year and a comparator year to be assessed as described within the tender documentation.

- Provide copies of the most recent set of management accounts.

- Insurances are required as follows:

- Public Liability Insurance - £5,000,000.

- Employers Liability Insurance - £5,000,000.

- Professional Indemnity Insurance - £5,000,000 per claim.

- Successful Contractors should ensure, that all Basic Disclosure checks (DBS) are up to date and in line with the Council's DBS Policy

- Acceptance of the JCT Design and Build Contract 2016 with Schedule of Amendments.
