Abstract

Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board (CTUHB) wishes to appoint a single provider to service/maintain the air conditioning and refrigeration units and their associated equipment and provide the CTUHB with assurance on F-Gas checks and to ensure that it meets with any Statutory Requirements and to also encompass on review, any future changes in legislation. This specification details the requirements for the maintenance of air conditioning units and planned inspection of Air Conditioning equipment at the hospitals and properties listed within the asset list contained within the tender ITT 104393] and the contractor will issue an F-Gas certificate in accordance within the following standard; You will need the following to fulfil the requirement of the CTMUHB on any equipment in relation to F- Gas Certificate to carry out all activities (Minimum of City &Guilds 2079-11 (FCAT1)). Certificate to install, maintain, service and recover refrigerant from systems containing F gas equivalent to less than 5 tonnes of CO2 Certificate to recover refrigerant from systems that contain less than 3kg of F gas. Certificate to check equipment for leaks if you don’t break into the refrigeration circuit. The contractor must attend any call out within 4 hours of any call being placed, 24/7/365 - regardless of type of system or area its serving. 3 Conditions for Participation

3.1

Minimum standards and qualification required

Any company that submits a quote must have experience of working within another Health Board, and are experienced in with NHS protocols, and include the contact details from another Health Board that can be contacted for a reference.

Constructionline, REFCOM & FGAS accreditation is an essential requirement (copy of certificates to be provided).

The contractor must keep and retain records on the type of gas and the weight of gas, system manufacturer, and system ID it is concerning.

You will need the following to fulfil the requirement of the CTMUHB on any equipment in relation to F- Gas

Certificate to carry out all activities (Minimum of City &Guilds 2079-11 (FCAT1)).
