We are seeking to procure a range of high specification strength and conditioning equipment for a new gym for our performance athletes to train in to prepare themselves for the very highest level of national and international competitions. We wish to procure a range of gym equipment and the actual gym flooring along with tracks suitable for running/sprinting/sled. The tracks must be appropriate for athletes to train on in the required footwear. The procurement will be split into two lots, supply of the actual strength and conditioning equipment itself and the supply of the flooring and tracks. Potential bidders may apply for one lot or both.

II.2.4) Description of the procurement
Supply of a range of high specification gym equipment for elite performance athletes for whom strength and conditioning training is a key part of their support package. The range of equipment we require must be used at the highest levels of international and national competitions. It must either complement or directly match existing gym equipment which we have previously invested in. Where appropriate we have supplied the make/model of existing kit for information purposes. Bidders must either quote for the specific kit or a direct alternative. Delivery of the equipment is required for December 2023, though dependent on lead times we may consider a phased delivery to open with minimal viable products. We will work with the successful contractor to finalise this post-award. To note, the procurement is dependent on amending planning permission and if this is refused the gym equipment may not be required.

We require flooring for the gym itself in the form of premium shock absorbing material, to support the athletes and the gym equipment with a 10-15 year warranty with an ability to mark out different zones and areas.
In addition we also require a running and sprinting track to be housed in the gym with 3 running lanes, with a surface that is optimal and safe for running with spikes and customisable with Cardiff Met colours.
The above will be supported by a sled track which must be made from durable synthetic grass and suitable for use with boots and suitable for Cardiff Met branding.
