Abstract

The Welsh Government recognises the important role that is played by social welfare information and advice services in improving health and well-being; employability; financial resilience; long term prosperity and ensuring everyone in Wales has a fair and equal chance in life. The Welsh Government is committed to support information and advice providers to develop and deliver quality assured services to provide assurances to the public, other providers and funders, etc., that an information and advice service is of a high standard, safe, effective, and well managed, etc. As part of this commitment, the Welsh Government published the Information and Advice Quality Framework for Wales (IAQF) in 2017. The Welsh Government is seeking a contractor to develop and implement the independent IAQF Assessment and Application Service; commence the process of having existing social welfare information and advice quality standards accredited to the IAQF and support a range of information and advice providers to develop their organisational policies and procedures in order to meet the standards and assurance processes of an IAQF Wales Approved Accrediting Body. It is therefore essential that the contractor has extensive knowledge of the IAQF and the social welfare information, the advice quality standards in operation within the sector and in developing and implementing quality assurance systems’’
