II.2.4) Description of the procurement

NRW is seeking to award a framework for the supply of Water and baro loggers for use in Groundwater Dependent Terrestrial Ecosystem Hydrological Monitoring.

Groundwater is a fundamental factor to the functioning of wetland environments. Water level monitoring allows an understanding of the behaviour of site groundwater over time – diurnally, seasonally or in relation to events such as abstraction or restoration activities. Long term monitoring may indicate changes due to ecosystem evolution or climate change. Such data may be used to understand system function or the efficacy of management interventions and to modify management accordingly. NRW (and predecessor bodies) has used dataloggers on dune, raised bog and fen environments for many years.
