Works to include Inspections, Servicing and Remedials of Portable Fire Fighting equipment (Fire Extinguishers and Fire Blankets), Sprinklers, Fire Alarms and Emergency Lighting.

III.1) Conditions for participation
III.1.1) Suitability to pursue the professional activity, including requirements relating to enrolment on professional or trade registers
List and brief description of conditions:
The minimum requirements of the tender are as follows:
-Constructionline Silver registered (or equivalent), with work categories relevant to the subject matter of the contract.
-Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP) accredited or fully compliant with an equivalent scheme.
- Pass a financial assessment of your company's accounts
- Insurance requirements, note that you must have or agree to put in place by contract start, insurances to the following levels:
Public Liability Insurance - 5,000,000 GBP and
Employer’s Liability Insurance - 5,000,000 GBP
- Acceptance of the JCT Measured Term Contract and Schedule of Amendments.
- All operatives on site will have undertaken Asbestos Awareness Training.
- The successful Contractors should ensure, where relevant, that all Basic Disclosure checks (DBS) are up to date and in line with the Council’s DBS policy.
- Lot Specific Minimum requirements as outlined within the tender documentation are:
Lot 1 Portable Fire Fighting Equipment (Extinguishers & Fire Blankets) - All Powys
- All personnel employed on this contract shall be experienced, trained and competent and shall have received general health and safety training and specific training with respect to Risk assessment, Asbestos awareness, Working at height as applicable and Use of personal protective equipment.
- All Contractors must have a current BAFE SP101 registration or equivalent.
Lot 2 – Sprinklers – All Powys
- All personnel employed on this contract shall be experienced, trained and competent and shall have received general health and safety training and specific training with respect to Risk assessment, Asbestos awareness, Working at height as applicable, Use of personal protective equipment and Working in confined spaces.
- Electrical contractors must be registered for works on NON domestic premises – e.g Niceic Approved, ECA or equivalent. Domestic only installers will not be considered.
Lots 3 & 4 – Fire Alarms and Emergency Lighting – North and South Powys
- All personnel employed on this contract shall be experienced, trained and competent and shall have received general health and safety training and specific training with respect to Risk assessment, Asbestos awareness, Working at height as applicable, Use of personal protective equipment and Working in confined spaces.
