Description of the contract
Eryri’s National Park Authority in close collaboration with its Partners on Fforwm Eryri, and the Eryri Local Nature Partnership have identified the urgent need for a comprehensive, up to date understanding of the condition of the habitats and species which exist across the Eryri region. This study has been triggered by the production of the State of the Park Report and preparation for the production of an Eryri Nature Recovery Action Plan.
Overall aim: to gather and synthesise the data which exists on the key habitats and species of Eryri
in order to report on Eryri National Park’s current condition.
• To synthesise the various data sets which exist, from a variety of sources, to produce a report on the current situation (in 2024) of the habitats and species of Eryri.
• To establish a data baseline for the production of the State of the Park Report (2024).
• To report on the condition of some of the core Special Qualities of the National Park, specifically: Internationally and Nationally important habitats and species.
• To record where the diverse data sets are held for future use (and accessibility) in order to ensure repeatability and future monitoring.
• To advise on data gaps for future reporting and research purposes.
• To collect data required and establish a data baseline relevant to the undertaking of a Green Infrastructure Assessment.
