Abstract

The objective of the work is to stimulate demand for recycled materials in manufacturing SMEs and to increase both the percentage of recycled material incorporated into manufactured goods and packaging and overall quantity of recycled material used by the manufacturing sector in Wales. Description of the goods or services required

The objective of the work is to stimulate demand for recycled materials in manufacturing SMEs and to increase both the percentage of recycled material incorporated into manufactured goods and packaging and overall quantity of recycled material used by the manufacturing sector in Wales. This objective will be achieved through the provision of expert consultancy support delivered 1-2-1 to manufacturing businesses and will include feasibility studies and technical reports addressing barriers to incorporating recycled content in to products or packaging.

Total quantity or scope of tender

This tender invitation is for 5 separate geographically based contracts with associated targets and budgets. Tenders may be submitted for no more than two contracts.

1)Contract 1 - SE Wales (Monmouthshire, Newport, Torfaen, Blaenau Gwent, Caerphilly, Merthyr, Rhondda Cynon Taf) The project requires 10 beneficiaries to be secured for this region and for 1-2-1 business support services to be provided for each business. Contract value not to exceed £50,000.

2)Contract 2 – (Cardiff, Bridgend, Vale of Glamorgan). The project requires 8 beneficiaries to be secured for this region and for 1-2-1 business support services to be provided for each business. Contract value not to exceed £40,000.

3)Contract 3 - SW Wales (Neath Port Talbot, Swansea, Carmarthenshire & Pembrokeshire).The project requires 8 beneficiaries to be secured in this region and for 1-2-1 business support services to be provided for each business. Contract value not to exceed £40,000.

4)Contract 4 - Mid Wales (Powys & Ceredigion). The project requires 5 beneficiaries to be secured in this region and for 1-2-1 business support services to be provided for each business. Contract value not to exceed £25,000.

5)Contract 5 - N Wales (Wrexham, Flimtshire, Denbighshire, Conwy, Gwynedd, Anglesey). The project requires 11 beneficiaries to be secured in this region and for 1-2-1 business support services to be provided for each business. Contract value not to exceed £55,000.
