Abstract

Powys County Council is offering an exciting opportunity for suitably qualified and experienced contractors in participating in a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) for the Provision of Minor Construction Works throughout the County of Powys. The purpose of the Dynamic Purchasing System is to allow the Council to assemble and maintain an approved list of contractors for the above stipulated works, and to offer a more flexible and responsive procurement. The Dynamic Purchase System will run for an initial period of 3 years, with an option to be extended for a further period or periods of up to 36 months. The purpose of the Dynamic Purchasing System is to allow the Council to assemble and maintain an approved list of contractors for the above stipulated works, and to offer a more flexible and responsive procurement.

Works offered within this DPS may require contractors to act as Principal Contractor on General Building works, including but not limited to:

Works packages tendered through the DPS shall not predominantly relate to M&E or other specialist works.

Section VII: Changes

Section II : 1.4 - Short Description
Powys County Council is offering an exciting opportunity for suitably qualified and experienced contractors to join its established Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) for the provision of Minor Construction Works across the County of Powys. This opportunity was originally advertised on the 10th January 2023. The DPS is now live and the Council continue to seek further expressions of interest. Contractors may apply at any time during the life of the DPS. The purpose of the DPS is to assemble and maintain an approved list of contractors for the stipulated works and to offer a more flexible and responsive procurement. All contractors who meet the selection criteria will be admitted to the DPS, and when a contract opportunity arises the Council will move straight to the mini-competition phase for that package of works.
