Under the terms of this tender, Suppliers are encouraged to offer Community Benefits in support of USW’s economic and social objectives. Community Benefits in the procurement context are about ensuring that wider social, economic and environmental issues are considered when tendering contracts, to maximise the investment as widely as possible.
The University is committed to delivering Community Benefits through its sourcing activities. For this tender, Community Benefits are a Core Requirement and will be evaluated and suppliers are encouraged to consider what they can offer. Upon award, the successful supplier will be expected to work with the University to maximise the Community Benefits delivered through this contract.
Including measures to save energy, minimise waste, reduce travel at our campuses and monitoring and reducing their own carbon emissions. We would also like to understand the carbon footprint of all of our supply chain relevant to the contract.
