Description of the goods or services required
The NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership, hosted by Velindre NHS Trust are acting on behalf of Cardiff and Vale University Local Health Board and Cardiff Local Authority who are seeking to establish a contract for the programmes to improve health through increasing physical activity and healthy eating in Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan.
The Health Board is particularly keen to attract proposals that demonstrate innovative approaches that complement the range of activities already undertaken by statutory and non-statutory bodies within Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan.
There are four lot/sub lots as follows;
- Lot 1a Physical Activity for Cardiff
- Lot 1b Physical Activity for the Vale of Glamorgan
- Lot 2a Healthy Eating for Cardiff
- Lot 2b Healthy Eating for the Vale of Glamorgan

Total quantity or scope of tender
The Health Board's intent is to award a contract that will initially run until the 31st March 2021 as funding is only guaranteed until this date.
This period will be evaluated to determine whether there have been successful outcomes since implementation and potentially (dependent on funding) there will be extension provision for up to three years on an annually basis, at the sole discretion of the Health Board.

Please note additional information on this procurement:
1. The Contracting Authority reserves the right to award the contract in whole, in part or annul the tendering process and not award any contract.
2. Bidders should note that they will be required to enter into terms and conditions of contract as set out in the ITT and that save for matters of clarification or consistency the Contracting Authority will not negotiate the terms.
3. The Contracting Authority will not accept completed ITT's after the stated closing date.
4. All documents to be priced (where applicable) in sterling and all payments made in sterling.
5. All tender costs and liabilities incurred by bidders shall be the sole responsibility of the bidders.
6. Bidders wishing to participate should visit the Bravo e-tenderwales portal and access the ITT under reference itt_42847.
