Description of the goods or services required
The NIFG is an independent, non-formal international network encompassing national institutions advocating for future generations. The NIFG’s mission, as set out in 2018, is to promote governance for future generations and to grow the number of countries implementing future generations governance. Following the commitment of the UN Secretary-General to incorporate future generations governance in the UN system in the ‘Our Common Agenda’ report 2021, the next three years offers an opportunity for the NIFG to renew its mission to grow its network and profile.
In June 2022, the NIFG’s membership agreed to diversity and expand the NIFG. The consultancy below will support the development of this strategic direction. In addition – a request has been made to the NIFG by the UN Secretary General’s Office to support the development of Future Generations governance updates to the UN system.
