Abstract

Cardiff University Campus Services require a comprehensive, documented Fire Risk Assessment Type 1 for the residential property types listed in appendix 2. and as per plans provided in accordance with current legal requirements. The buildings will be occupied so the contractor will have to adhere to the University protocol for entering a room in residences appendix 3. The Fire Risk Assessment will include: Identify the fire hazards Identify people at risk Evaluate fire safety measures provided and/or required to protect people (e.g. escape routes and fire alarm systems) Review the details for management of fire safety Formulate an action plan which is prioritised with level of risk in a clear, concise manner. Record significant findings and provide an action plan which is consolidated into a main list of actions to be carried out. The report should adhere to the University Template and be available online and be downloadable in PDF and Excel format. Ensure the assessment is kept up to date. The Property will be assessed against the following legislative overview and other industry specific regulations. Additional Information

Access to the Procurement documents will close at 12 Noon on the 14th July in order for Site Visits to take place W/C 17th July 2023. Further details regarding site visits are contained in Schedule 2 - Specification.

All tender costs and liabilities incurred by bidders shall be the sole responsibility of bidders.

The University reserves the right to award the contract in whole or in part.

The University reserves the right to annul the tendering process and not award any contract.

All documents to be priced in GBP and all payments made in GBP.
