Abstract

We are pleased to invite you to tender for the installation of a modular Changing Places Toilet, funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund on land adjacent to Corwen Sports Pavillion. The scope of this project is to provide full a turn-key contract for the planning, design and installation of the modular toilet. Please see attached the tender documentation, which explains the scope of work and our expectations. In November 2023 Mencap Cymru was awarded UK Shared Prosperity funding to install Changing Place Facilities in Conwy and Denbighshire. The scheme is monitored by Gwynedd Council as the lead local authority, with funding decisions made by Denbighshire and Conwy councils. Following a consultation process, a number of specific venues and areas were identified. The Sports Pavilion is sat within a flat area surrounded by sports facilities and is home to Corwen Town Council. It resides on the banks of the River Dee and is near the A5. Access is through Green Lane. There are two areas that could host the modular Changing Places toilet. The first is at the immediate side of the pavilion on a grassy verge which has easy access to drains. The second is across from the pavilion next to the tennis courts. There is a concrete base but drains and other utilities’ are further away.
