Stage Lighting Inspections and Remedials at Schools and Community Centres within the County of Powys

Description of the goods or services required

Powys County Council is seeking to appoint a contractor to undertake inspections and low value remedials on stage lighting at Council owned schools and community centres at approximately 35 sites across Powys.

The contract is for a period of 3 years with an option to extend for 1 year and a further 1 year.

3 Conditions for Participation

3.1

Minimum standards and qualification required

It is a Minimum Requirement of the Council that Bidders are/have:

Constructionline Level 2 Silver registered, with work categories and category values relevant to the subject matter of the contract.

Registered with an Safety Schemes in Procurement accredited scheme.

Demonstrable experience of delivering contract(s) of a similar nature.

All on-site employees must have received Asbestos Awareness training.

Insurance requirements, note that you must have or agree to put in place by contract start insurance to the following levels:

- Public & Product Liability Insurance - 5,000,000 GBP;

- Employer’s Liability Insurance - 5,000,000 GBP; and

- Professional Indemnity Insurance - 5,000,000 GBP per claim.

Acceptance of the JCT Measured Term Contract 2016 and Schedule of Amendments.

All on-site employees must have a valid Disclosure and Barring Services check at the time of Contract mobilisation and throughout the contract period. Contractors must comply fully with the Council’s DBS Policy.
