the repair work identified consists of a diverse range of work such as but not limited to:
• Bettws Library - Remedial work to the outer skin brickwork
• Bettws Library – Removal of Concrete panels overlooking the Shopping Centre and replacement with a façade of External Wall Insulation (EWI) – Planning Permission for this proposal has been granted by Newport Council. All EWI work MUST conform with Part L of the Building Regs and come with a minimum Manufacturer’s Warranty of 10 years.
• Balcony to Maisonettes – Extensive concrete repairs all identified via Curtin’s Structural Engineers / Consultants Report
• Balcony to Maisonettes – Removal of existing paving slabs and floor and replacement / provision of new waterproof floor system incorporating new drainage system to ground floor (new rainwater system including gully, hopper and downpipes
• Balcony to Maisonettes – Preparation and painting as per specification to balcony walls, soffits, stanchions and metal railings.
• Bettws Shopping Centre General – Preparation and painting as per specification to existing painted walls, soffits, stanchions, gates, gate posts and all metal railings.
• Bettws Shopping Centre General – Replacement of all and any metal railings or posts considered beyond repair (the specification for these should match the existing in size, appearance, materials and colour
