NPT Homes approximate spend on External Boundary Treatment & Environmental Works is 15 Million GBP plus VAT. Works to be carried out include Fencing, Paths and Miscellaneous Works. The Form of Contract will be the NEC 3 Term Service Short Contract.

The Contract will be awarded to two contractors and two reserve tenderers on a Framework Agreement over a period of 5 years.

This Framework comprises the external works to approximately 8000 properties in the Neath Port Talbot area. The direct award packages are expected to be, approximately 850 properties per contractor per year.
The successful Tenderers will be tasked with working with NPT Homes, each other, small and medium enterprises and all of NPT Homes stakeholders to deliver a best value, high quality works programme.

We have properties centrally located around the towns of Neath, Port Talbot and Pontardawe and in all five valleys in the County Borough of Neath Port Talbot, including the Upper Swansea Valley, Amman Valley, Vale of Neath, Dulais Valley and the Afan Valley

The Contractor shall ensure that all contracts with Subcontractors and Suppliers which the Contractor intends to procure following the Award date, and which the Contractor has not, before the date of this Contract, already planned to award to a particular Subcontractor or Supplier, are advertised through the Sell2Wales portal (www.sell2wales.co.uk) and awarded following a fair, open, transparent and competitive process proportionate to the nature and value of the contract.
Under the terms of this contract the successful supplier(s) will be required to deliver Community Benefits in support of the authority’s economic and social objectives. Accordingly, contract performance conditions may relate in particular to social and environmental considerations. The Community Benefits included in this contract are:
NPT Homes is committed to contributing to the social, economic and environmental well-being of the wider community. Consequently, Community Benefits clauses will be considered as part of the proposed procurement as Core to address socio-economic and/or environmental issues.
The ‘Core’ approach means that Community Benefits are being ‘bought’ as part of the subject matter of the contract i.e. will be evaluated as part of the tender process.
This means, as part of their tender response, Tenderers will be asked to set out how they will deliver ‘community benefits’ through the contract by completing the ‘Menu of Options’ which will form their Community Benefits
