II.1.4) Short description
Provide a specialist service for pre-school children with significant emerging or diagnosed disability/disorder, global delay and/or complex physical and sensory needs to support them to reach their developmental potential according to the age and stage of the child, and adopt an innovative approach in order to achieve this. The Service should provide both part-time, quality, centre-based childcare as well as work with families in their own home to help them develop a quality of life and experience, for themselves and their young children, in which they can learn together, play together, participate and be included in their community in their own right via a portage model. Please note that this service is only accessible pre-school (i.e. 0-3 years). Children should leave the service the term after they turn 3 and are eligible for school Nursery. The service is available for 52 weeks a year. Bidders must be fully and appropriately registered with CIW and must comply with the National Minimum Standards for Regulated Childcare for Children up to the Age of 12 Years and Quality Assurance. Bidders must follow codes of practice and other relevant documentation published by Social Care Wales.
