Introduction

Social Care Wales is seeking provision for office cleaning services at our Cardiff office; Southgate House, Wood Street, Cardiff, CF10 1EW.

The office is located on the 6th floor of a multi-occupational building which is managed by porters who are located at the main reception on the ground floor.

A copy of the office floor plan is provided within Appendix 5 which depicts the approximate square footage of each wing:

East wing – 4300 square foot

West wing – 4017 square foot

Budget

There is no set budget for this contract and we are therefore relying upon receiving realistic and competitive pricing from Suppliers which includes a breakdown of activity, including expenses.

The Supplier will provide full financial breakdown of the costs associated with the project for consideration through the evaluation process.

Prices must be quoted in pounds sterling and clearly state if VAT will or will not be charged.

Length of contract

The contract will run initially from July 2024 for a three year period until July 2027 with a possibility of being extended for a further two 12 month periods up to a total period of five years (July 2029).

At the end of each contractual year, a break clause will be inserted, and the contract will be reviewed to consider activity carried out in the year preceding and Social Care Wales reserves the right to end this contract.

Site Visits

The Supplier is deemed to have inspected the office to have understood the nature and extent of the services to be carried out.

Site visits are available in 30 minute slots between on 21 May (PM only) and 22 May 2024.

Appointments can be booked through the procurement team by contacting procurement@socialcare.wales to arrange a suitable time as an appointment is required.
