Description of the contract
As part of the Welsh Government’s Covid-19 response, we are excited to be launching a new In Work Support South East Wales Service. The service will be available to employed and self-employed people who live or work in Cardiff, Vale of Glamorgan, Newport and Monmouthshire, and whose mental or physical health has been impacted by the coronavirus pandemic. The service is aimed at supporting employees of micro, small or medium sized enterprises, who often do not have access to Employee Assistance Programmes.
In Work Support South East Wales will provide free and confidential one-to-one support, along with rapid access to free physical and psychological therapies to help sickness absentees return to work. Clients will be able to self-refer to the service, and participation is entirely voluntary.
The support will include:
Talking therapies e.g. counselling, CBT
Physical therapies e.g. physiotherapy
Employment support
Career coaching
Financial / benefits guidance
The service will be taking referrals from 1st October 2020, and is initially running until 31st March 2021. It is envisaged that the support provided will be mainly phone-based, although we may be able to provide a limited amount of face to face support when it is deemed safe to do so.
We will require suitably qualified and registered contractors to delivery the services.
