Bike Life Residents Survey

Description of the goods or services required

Sustrans Ltd is looking to commission a city- wide residents survey in 14 cities and areas across the UK in 2019. The survey will gather data about resident’s cycling and travel behaviour, satisfaction and attitudes about a range of issues related to cycling in their city among a representative sample of residents. The successful contractor will design a research methodology and survey tools compatible with previous citywide household surveys, conduct the survey fieldwork, clean and analyse the data and return to the buyer for further analysis and modelling. We will be commissioning for two iterations of fieldwork in 2019 and 2021. Other surveying requirements may be required during the fieldwork period.

Surveys to take place in 14 cities/city regions in 2019 and 11 cities/city regions in 2021. Each survey to secure at least 1100 respondents. Note we are procuring for a single supplier framework, and there may be variations in the number of cities/city regions.

Total value maximum of £670,000 for the core costs of the contract, based on the number of cities above.

Sustrans Ltd is not currently considered to be a ‘contracting authority’ under The Public Contracts Regulations 2015. Sustrans has opted to publish this notice on a voluntary basis and its intention is voluntarily to comply with the principles set out in the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 in this procurement: however, this does not bind Sustrans contractually in relation to the process.

Note that this opportunity relates to work in fourteen cities across the UK (including Cardiff) and is not limited to Wales.
