Abstract

As part of Cardiff University’s School of History, Archaeology, and Religion’s expanding analytical profile, a review of facilities showed a need for a new laboratory digital microscope that can look at archaeological and material remains, that is also capable of being used during field excavations and outreach activities. Following a successful grant bid, the Department of Archaeology and Conservation within SHARE has recently received funding for a high magnification, high resolution 3D microscope to fill this gap in its microscopy suite.
