Transport for Wales (TfW) is carrying out a procurement advertised in the FTS via Sell2Wales, under the Open Procedure of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 to procure TrawsCymru Bus Operations – T1 Service. The T1 contract operates between Aberystwyth and Carmarthen and as part of this new opportunity we will be enhancing the service to include operation by high quality zero emission vehicles provided as part of the contract as well as a base in Carmarthen for driver layovers & vehicle cleaning and charging. Alongside this we will continue to support the integration of bus/rail ticketing as well as invest in marketing & promotion of the service and the opportunities it offers alongside providing a comprehensive driver training programme.

II.2.4) Description of the procurement
Transport for Wales (TfW) is carrying out a procurement advertised in the FTS via Sell2Wales, under the Open Procedure of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 to procure TrawsCymru Bus Operations – T1 Service under a bespoke contracting arrangement.
There will be increased hours of operation with earlier and later services from both Carmarthen & Aberystwyth. The service will provide good connectivity at Aberystwyth with service T2 in both directions & with Transport for Wales Rail services. There will also be good connectivity at Carmarthen with Transport for Wales rail services to and from Swansea & Cardiff. The proposed service also lays out optional additional Monday to Saturday evening and Sunday journeys.
