Within the Station Programme there are commitments to improve staff facilities at stations. One priority is focusing on Chester Station where the current facilities for staff are unsuitable and do not reflect the working environment that we would expect to provide our employees.
TfW require a Contractor to complete an internal building refurbishment of the platform
4/7b staff accommodation at Chester station.
The platform 4/7b accommodation currently exists as a train crew facility, comprising
of a booking on point, locker rooms, quiet room, offices, stores, mess room and toilets.
It is the Client’s proposal to refurbish this area into the new mess room facilities,
comprising of three breakout zones, including a customer service office, the
refurbishment of existing and installation of new toilet facilities, in addition to alterations
to offices and quiet rooms on the 1st and 2nd floor.
