Abstract

Carmarthenshire County Council, on behalf of its partners are seeking to commission a suitably qualified and experienced contractor to further develop the Celtic Routes project by bringing Celtic Routes brand to life for industry/stakeholders and visitors to the areas through the development of 360 drone footage and digital experiences. The Celtic Routes project is a tourism heritage initiative to develop and build on the truly distinctive identity its partners have as individuals but through working together will harness the collective strengths to create an innovative marketing campaign that will maximise spend and income retention to the local economies. The project uses a Celtic narrative and messages to improve the visitor experience, to provide fresh reasons to visit or stay longer and to see the counties through a different lens – a Celtic lens. In short Celtic Routes is: “a branded collection of tourism experiences that encourages travellers to Ireland and Wales to discover the Celtic Spirit by offering a number of immersive and authentic Celtic experiences in Wexford, Wicklow, Waterford, Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire. Contract requirements: The Partnership is keen to further develop the Celtic Routes experience and to bring the initiative to life for both visitors, local trade representatives and other stakeholders through the delivery of a digital experience within the partner counties. Whilst the brand is a strong proposition in its own right, we are keen to develop more immersive experiences on the ground utilising digital technologies and 360 imagery. The contract is partly funded via the European Regional Development Fund through the Ireland Wales Cooperation programme 2014-2020.
