Contract For Corporate WiFi Access Point Replacement

Description of the goods or services required

Swansea Council have a requirement to replace the majority of our existing Corporate WiFi Access Point estate, consisting currently of Extreme (Aerohive) AP330 (x 222) and AP121 (x 3), with their direct replacement equivalents.

We do also have some AP122s and AP250s, these are not being replaced as lifecycle is still good. These consist of 28 APs, of which only 11 currently have Maintenance & Support licenses, this leaves a shortfall of 17 which we will also require, for 3yrs, as shown below.

We are not looking to replace the whole Wifi solution i.e. platform, just the current Corporate AP hardware listed with maintenance & support for 3yrs.

3 Conditions for Participation

Minimum standards and qualification required

Note: In order to simplify and consolidate functionality across the estate going forward, we would like to replace with just one model of AP going forward i.e. AP 410C across the replacements.

The maintenance & support has to be provided by recognised Extreme/Aerohive partners and support engineers should be certified by the vendors – Please provide evidence

Register your company on the eTenderWales portal (this is only required once):

— Navigate to the portal: http://etenderwales.bravosolution.co.uk

2. Express an interest in the project:

— Login to the portal with your username/password.

— Click the “ITTs Open to All Suppliers” link (these are the ITTs open to any registered supplier).

— Click on the relevant ITT to access the content.

— Click the “Express Interest” button in the “Actions” box on the left-hand side of the page.

— This will move the ITT into your “My ITTs” page (this is a secure area reserved for your projects only).

— Click on the ITT code. You can now access any attachments by clicking the “Settings and Buyer Attachments” in the “Actions” box.

3. Responding to the invitation to tender:

— You can now choose to “Reply” or “Reject” (please give a reason if rejecting).

— You can now use the “Messages” function to communicate with the buyer and seek any clarification.

— Note the deadline for completion, then follow the onscreen instructions to complete the ITT.

— There may be a mixture of online and offline actions for you to perform (there is detailed online help available).
