Real Fire Training Facility Building Maintenance

South Wales Fire and Rescue Service (SWFRS) are seeking to appoint a supplier to carry our repair and maintenance within the Real Fire Training Facility building.

The Real Fire Training Facility (RFTF) at SWFRS Training Centre in Cardiff Gate is used to simulate the conditions of a real fire allowing the Service to train firefighters to the required standard.

The building was designed to meet a zero emissions target as the surrounding area is residential. All doors are fitted with high temperature resistant smoke seals to protect against smoke leakage. It is essential to SWFRS that the building is maintained to the required standard to provide protection to the structural integrity of the facility and as such we require a supplier with the relevant expertise in this sector.

It is the intention of SWFRS to award an initial contract for 2 years with the option to extend for 2 x 12 month periods, dependant on supplier performance.

The successful supplier will be appointed on a NEC 4 Termed Service Contract.
